The Madigan Scholarship – An NCAEP Award Supporting Equine Students Invested in Disaster Medicine and Emergency Response

Purpose:
This award is established to recognize the work of John Madigan DVM, MS, DACVIM, DACAW in Disaster Medicine and to encourage the furthering of his legacy in future veterinarians.
The Northern California Association for Equine Practitioners (NCAEP) is committed to improving equine medicine in Northern California. This scholarship will be thoughtfully awarded to exceptional veterinary students dedicated to equine practice and invested in emergency response.
Awards:
One (1) scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded on June 07, 2024
Criteria for Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled and in good standing at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine
- Must be a 3rd or 4th-year veterinary student at time of application submission. (Current applications are open to those who will graduate with your DVM or equivalent in 2024 or 2025)
- Currently pursuing an education track involving equine medicine
- Active participant with sVERT or CVET
