We are a community of veterinary professionals who are committed to improving equine medicine in Northern California.
We are a community of veterinary professionals who are committed to improving equine medicine in Northern California.
The NCAEP was founded based on a veterinarian’s vision for community in its truest form. Northern California has a special group of diverse equine veterinarians, equine patients, and challenges the equine community faces. There was a great need to have an organization that not just brings the equine veterinary community together in the good times but, more importantly, so we can work together in times of crisis and emergency. By meeting face to face for Continuing Education (CE), it facilitates our members to build strong professional and personal relationships and educational strength. When disaster hits, like the devastating wildfires, the foundation has already been established for the equine veterinary community of Northern California to work as a team and face any challenge together.
The mission of the NCAEP is:
Help protect the health and welfare of California Equine Population.
Organized forum for collaboration and case sharing amongst equine practitioners
Represent the equine practitioners as a unified voice in development of programs and regulations that impact California’s equine industry.
Support and strengthen the sustainability of California’s equine industry through community outreach and community charitable events.
Educate members by providing state of the art professional education that is RACE approved.
NCAEP provides an established network of regional practitioners for communication and collaboration on equine health issues, for the betterment of the horse community. Find support and develop friendships with your colleagues through socials, continuing educations and membership meetings.
NCAEP brings our members together to have a united voice in California regarding political issues that affect the state’s equine industry. The NCAEP Government Committee monitors upcoming legislation, and vigorously fight to protect both the profession and animals we care for.
