When disaster hits, like the devastating wildfires, the foundation has already been established for the equine veterinary community of Northern California to work as a team and face any challenge together.
Northern California has a special group of diverse equine veterinarians, equine patients, and challenges the equine community faces. There was a great need to have an organization that not just brings the equine veterinary community together in the good times but, more importantly, so we can work together in times of crisis and emergency.
The NCAEP emergency response trailer acts as a mobile command center, allowing veterinarians to operate in a more efficient and coordinated capacity in the event of a catastrophic emergency. The West Coast Equine Foundation (a non-profit program and partner of the Murieta Equestrian Center) and The Trailer Specialist generously donated the trailer. The NCAEP and its educational partners joined together to donate extensive veterinary supplies to assist in providing veterinary care for sheltered equids.
The NCAEP is a non-profit organization whose work is made possible by our incredible volunteers, donors, and industry partners! Your generosity allows us to be there for animals like those affected by the many fires this past year.
Please consider making a gift to support our work to provide veterinary assistance to equids in Northern California after catastrophic events.
–Donations enable us to stock our veterinary trailer and provide our volunteers with protective equipment to ensure the animals’ best outcome in emergencies.
